What is YSE?

YSE is an abbreviation for "youth social entrepreneur." But what is a social entrepreneur?

Social entrepreneurs are people who look for innovative solutions to social problems. They may advocate for a cause, fundraise for a project or develop a new approach to address an old need. Social entrepreneurs are passionate about their cause. Whether it's to solve world hunger, save the environment, eliminate poverty, build schools or empower women, social entrepreneurs have a common goal: to make the world a better place.

Youth social entrepreneurs (YSE) do not believe that age is a barrier. These middle school and high school age students are active in pursuing their goals through clubs, community service and other means. Youth social entrepreneurs may be tomorrow's leaders, but they are already making a positive impact on society today.
